RATIONALE
In response to the demands of this era of robotics and scientific gadgetry, the Department of Education envisioned to produce technologically and globally competitive graduates. This formulated the implementation of a Special Science Class Curriculum for advanced, scientifically and mathematically inclined students.
Manuel Luis Quezon High School offered one special class in every curriculum year. The program was offered to the freshmen student during School Year 2010-2011 under the supervision and leadership of Mr. Ferdinand A. De Leon.
The Special Class is under the BEC based Science, Mathematics and Research oriented curriculum. Selected teachers are assigned to teach advance science and mathematics.
In cognizant to scientific and technological challenges of the future, advanced courses and Research are offered to the special class. At the end of their grade 9, students are required to turn in an experimental thesis with Chapters 1 to 3 duly approved by designated research panel. For grade 10 students a completion of their thesis from Grade 9 should be submitted as a requirement for completion.
The program shows an image of excellence and intellectual supremacy as shown countless feats in numerous contested activities, produced well-trained graduates who have a motivation and necessary preparation to meet the challenges of a fast changing world.
